It's been three years since the racing world lost one of its greatest heroes and nicest guys. Now, on the 50th anniversary of his world championship, the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles is celebrating the life and accomplishments of Phil Hill--the first American to hold that title--with a new exhibit of his cars and a gala celebration of his greatest races. First is the exhibit, assembled in collaboration with Phil's son Derek, himself a racer.

And the first to come will be the Citroen DS4 and Citroen have now started the inevietable ‘Tease’ with the picture you see above. Said to preview a possible limited production model from Volkswagen's increasingly active R performance car division, the Golf R400 runs a powered-up version of the Golf R's turbocharged 2.0-liter direct-injection gasoline engine aimed at providing it with the sort of firepower to match the current king of the Euro hot hatchback brigade, the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG. VW The VW Golf R400 makes 395 hp from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
